Sofia to Istanbul sleeper

Does anyone know if the Sofia to Istanbul sleeper has commenced running ?

I saw Turkish carriages in Sofia last November but couldn't tell you for the present moment.

IF you mean this train-yes, as has been noted in various sources and also on the best: seat61.com
Note that in /en/ sleeper is rather ambigue: I think it only offers couchette, but Turkish style which are way better as the standard that f.e. SNCF considers as couchette.
ONLY in summertime-for a few more weeks to come, there will also be a through couchette car from Bucuresti-shunted a few times till also into this train.
Somehow I recall (not sure) that due to ever rising demand TCDD (Turkish state rail, the operator) is so convinced it goes well they add even an extra couchette car for this summer season, thus relieving the pressure on space.

Yes, the Sofia to Istanbul train is running, with both couchette and 2-berth sleeper cars (which are rather nice, and have, for example, a fridge in each room)

When it also conveys a carriage from Bucherest (for the summer season), that carriage is Couchette only.

It (re)started over a year ago and has been running daily since.

On seat61 it says there are sleepers and couchettes on that train.

According to Vagonweb, there's indeed an extra couchette in summer.

Used it last week but in other direction. Be aware time keeping is dire in both directions.
