I was once on a train which had to stop to get snow out the horn.

2 minutes later the driver comes on: "We are sorry, this train will run at slow speed to the next stop where we can get hot water. i can't get the snow out the horn because someone has put gauze over the horn to stop show getting in'

And that's why thameslink lost the franchise...

Reminds me of the good ol' days, when I could watch steam trains drift past in the snow.
