In Blackburn, and Preston there is a little, little bit.
Stafford and Wolves this morning were pretty bad when I was going through, definitely in need of clearance.
It got increasingly less as you headed south, there was none I saw south of about Banbury today (I went from Preston-Birmingham-Banbury-Marylebone today).
Overall, it was at the worst in the Midlands, light up north, and non-existent down south.

Quite a lot in Newcastle and Northumberland apparently, bout 2-3 inches in York overnight. Not good when getting up at 3.30am to find the car needing to be dug out.

About a foot deep in my garden in Haswell (east Durham) village at the mo, roads are a white out and more snow forecast tomorrow- great . Buses and taxis not running from 20.00 last night due to fear of injury claims and no sign of the gritters......just as well i've got a car and a shovel

About an inch down in Hull, I'm informed that at home near Redcar there is around 8 inches in places.

In Newcastle: About 2 - 3 inches on Wed night/Thurs morning. I was late getting to the station around 7am but so was the train driver!
A little more on Thurs night.
Six inches more on Fri night and roads not gritted (up to 14 inches in the hills) and snow not cleared from some main roads even after a whole day's traffic.
Another few inches yesterday evening & night.

Railways still open but some main roads have been very slow and closed over the hills. Here's a view from Saturday afternoon - can you see the HST on the bridge right in the middle of the pic?

You are right, got about 6-7 inches here at the top end of West Dyke Road.

We had a dusting in my corner of S Yorks (about an inch) which wasn't much compared to what was forecast.

I was disappointed and went on a snow hunting mission whilst around Newcastle yesterday, certainly found some!

Had a light dusting here in Birmingham yesterday, most of which has now melted in my area: A fairy pathetic display having had a look at some photos my brother took of the current situation in Sunderland, which appears to be pretty spectacular: There's even up to an inch of snow on the sand on Seaburn beach! hock:

Typical I go away to uni and we get a decent snow fall at home but only light snow at uni

Ah well judging from how it's falling outside my window at Hull I might not be waiting very long to get 6 inches on the ground here!

What part of Hull? Driving from Scunthorpe to Bridlington yesterday, then back last night, there was 2 or 3 inches of snow on the ground pretty much everywhere along the route.

i drove from cornwall to cardiff and back yesterday,
in the far west of cornwall there were 3-4 inches, (it never snows here) then as i drove east out of cornwall there was none until i got into wales where there was a couple of inches in cardiff

There's nothing in Swansea or Llanelli, but Carmarthen and the inland hills got a fair bit apparently!

At the moment lucky enough, in London we have not got any. But it is absolutely freezing. Can't stand snow, and it affects our 3rd rail units down South. I'm no fun!

Nothing in Southampton and here in the New Forest, but there was snow in Dorset yesterdsy and apparently today in Cowes, Isle of Wight.
