:-? Are any of the train operating companies offering refunds to season ticket holders in respect of when train services were suspended due to snow a week or so ago?

Possibly. Railway period 1109 ended on Saturday, and the TOCs that still declare void days and passenger charter discounts (which is most of them, except CrossCountry, East Midlands, East Coast, First Capital Connect, London Midland, London Overground, Merseyrail, National Express East Anglia, Southern, and the open access operators) should do so by midday on Friday IIRC, for use from Sunday.

For the other operators, except the open access ones, you'd need to submit a claim under their "Delay Repay" scheme.

The open access operators (First Hull Trains, Grand Central, Heathrow Connect, Heathrow Express and Wrexham & Shropshire) have no contractual obligation to provide compensation.

Cheers,

Barry

Any TOC operating the "Delay Repay scheme" should accept claims regardless of the cause of the delay.
under this scheme you have to claim separately for each journey where a delay was encountered & claim this within 28 days of the relevant journey.
The standard claim form however is to claim for an actual delay for a journey rather than not being able to travel at all, so you probably need to send in a printed copy of the form through the post with a letter detailing your delays/not being able to travel etc rather than using the online claim forms.

:D Eventually got refunds (in rail vouchers) for each of the days that the service on my line was affected, via the 'Delay Repay' scheme.

I got my delay/repay vouchers after applying online through Southern, because those are the journeys I actually make (just put them in as delays of more than 2 hrs), plus void days from SWT on renewing the season ticket, because it runs mainly on their route.
