Yes - it's been amazing how the drifts have come back in suffolk today - it's been blowing off the fields. As an example, drove down this road last night - it was completely clear - now look at it

When working with a plough like this, where does the driver sit? In the cab or in the plough, either way it must make seeing signals very tricky.

Just how fast do these "monster size" five foot icicles take to form? Is it as quickly as overnight?

Previously they said the patrol locomotive could not cope and I think independents were being sent working from yesterday. There are usually a pair kept at Inverness.

I had to have a double look at these posts! Down here in Kent its 10 degrees and the snow has long gone, according to BBC weather it should be the same in both Inverness and Aberdeen.

the quantities of snow involved are somewhat different between northern Scotland and Kent as are the temperatures.
