Oh aye, I was caught up in all of that chaos trying to get home from college in Stourbridge, ended up having to catch the bus! I don't know whether everything's got moving now or not, there was a stationary train at Lye when I passed the station on the bus, with a fair few people stood outside, probably awaiting lifts or taxis, and that was at about 6 o'clock.
This hasn't been very well explained, apart from a train is stuck in the tunnel at Old Hill. In fact, isn't it funny that there have been virtually no mishaps at Old Hill for yonks, yet suddenly, we get two in two weeks! And both times, it was a non-passenger train disrupting passenger services and causing a complete catastrophe, and both times it was during one of the peak times. Is it really too much trouble to squeeze them through at times when there aren't loads of cummuters trying to get to work or home? I know finding a path along the Snow Hill lines between Stourbridge and Birmingham is difficult because of the tight timings the passenger trains keep to, but surely things like this could have been avoided.
Does anyone actually know what happened to the train that is, or at least was, stuck at Old Hill? Did it stall on slippy rails or break down or something? If it is another leaf-related incident, you'd have thought they'd have done something about it by now since the last incident!!
