Does anyone know if it is possible to get any sort of refund of credit for smartcards of operators that are no longer trading?
I'm having a clearout at home and have found some smartcards that are branded "Wessex Red" and "uLink" which used to be valid on Wessex Connect / Wessex Red / uLink buses in the West of England. I was keeping these as I used to occasionally visit Bristol but have just discovered that the company went defunct in Sept 2018. I see Rotala are still operating buses under the Diamond Brand in the West Midlands and Greater Manchester, but presumably these operators now have smartcards in line with the PTEs.
The cards aren't Itso but some sort of pilot scheme part funded by Bristol City Council / Government.
