I've just tried to buy an off-peak return and load onto my smart card via the EMR app on my phone and had no luck. I've had to email EMR begging for a refund on the first purchase and buy a replacement eTicket in order to travel.

I already had a Flexi season loaded to the smart card with 3 out of 8 passes used. I naively assumed that when EMR's website says up to 5 smart 'products' can be loaded to a card, a Flexi season was one 'product'. Does anyone know if it's actually counted as eight (total) products, five (yet to be activated passes), or one (in which case it not loading from my phone to my card must've been unrelated)?

A Flexi-season is one product. Are you using an EMR smartcard?

I am yes

This turned out to be unspecified error but thankfully EMR customer support can tell the ticket wasn't successfully loaded and have sent for a refund.

I will not be using phone-to-smartcard ticket delivery for same day travel in future!
