Slovakia new demonstrator DMU - similarities with Pacers

Just looking at this ZOS Zvolen demonstrator 2 car DMU: http://www.railwaygazette.com/news/...iew/zos-zvolen-produces-demonstrator-dmu.html

Overall length of 28.8m and it's not used custom designed parts (they've rebuilt a Class 810/010 two-axle railcar and trailer.)

This strikes me as very much like a modern Pacer train, although in my opinion it looks a bit like a truck belonging on the road, opposed to a bus belonging on the road.

Reminds me a bit of the refurbished "Inter Pici" Bzmot DMUs in Hungary (I think the originals are virtually the same as the Czech / Slovakian units). Having experienced one of these the phrase that "you can't polish a t**d" comes to mind :lol:
