The current plan of the Windsor Link Railway is to have service run between Slough and Heathrow or Waterloo via a new combined rail station serving Windsor and Eton.
Until the Windsor Link Railway is completed, I think that Slough to Windor & Eton Central should be serviced by a Diesel-powered light rail option such as a High Floor tram or a High Floor Parry People Mover operating possibly with a 15-minute headways in the off-peak and 10-minute headways in the peak.
