Hi, can anyone tell me if the Caledonian Sleeper is always formed in the same order, I.e with the BUO of the INV portion closest to the buffers at EUS, and when departing INV is the BUO again at Buffer end. Plus, has anyone else noticed how rough the electric section is compared to the desiel section. Thanks in advance.

INV for Inverness, I got.
EUS for Euston, I got.
But BUO confuses me since I don't think you mean Burlesdon. In this context, for what is BUO an abbreviation?

To answer the OP, yes the Inverness seated coach and lounge SHOULD always run at the rear on departure in both directions since the portion reverses at Edinburgh. Rolling stock has been a bit confused recently however as the main Caledonian Sleeper thread will tell you!
As Neil says, I think it's just a difference in speed that you're experiencing.

Thanks guys, I guessed that the formation would be in some sort of order but not knowing which bit normally leaves EDB first I wasn't sure if I'd encountered a happy accident but not having to walk too far from the barriers at both ends or not, plus the FTW bit didn't run on the Sunday coming back so didn't know if there would normally be a difference in how it was formed normally. Looking forward to travelling again on it.
