Which route does the FSR sleeper take between Edinburgh & Dalmuir (on the Ft William portion)

Fort William is the only trip I have not taken, planning it for December for my 30th, if the other two are anything to go by, I van't wait!

From Edinburgh to Dalmuir? via Falkirk Grahamston and Cumbernauld.

In the other direction to Edinburgh it takes the main line via Croy & Falkirk High.

Assuming no diversions of course!

I've always wondered what time it would pass through Falkirk High, to see if it was possible to go to both on the same night!
Clearly NOT, as they both have 00:23 for Falkirk!

Polmont looks a better location to see both

Sorry to bump, but I cant find the mileage via Core, can anyone give me the mileage from EDB-WES?

In that direction on the sleeper? The problem is that Springburn-Ashfield has no direct trains other then the sleeper. The same applies for the other direction (Ashfield-Bishopbriggs). An approximation given below. Allow about a mile in each direction for the missing gap, but I can't give you an exact value I'm afraid

NORTHBOUND=51 miles, 42 chains

Edinburgh-Springburn=47 miles, 54 chains
Ashfield-Westerton=3 miles, 68 chains

SOUTHBOUND=47 miles, 70 chains

Westerton-Ashfield=3 miles, 68 chains
Bishopbriggs-Edinburgh=44 miles, 2 chains

As mentioned above, this will depend on the routeing your train took.
