Does anyone know whether there is any planned diversion via Yeovil Junction and Yeovil Pen Mill for the Night Riviera forthcoming in the next couple of months?

If not, any other unusual routings?

Not a sleeper, but all this weekend SWT Exeter services are diverted Salisbury–Westbury–Yeovil; and in addition FGW Exeter/Plymouth/Penzance services will also be diverted via the Yeovil curve on Sunday morning.

If you'll forgive me for being tangential.

Source note for future generations: this link is time-dependent and won't work after this weekend

Hmm, thanks. It's a bit early. I won't be around at the end of January so would ideally like to know if there's anything similar in February.

On Sundays I think the Train is booked via Yeovil anyway?

Not usually. This Sunday both directions are booked via Bristol Parkway, for instance.

You can check booked routes for up to 12 weeks in advance on traintimes.im (and no I am not doing it for you :P)

Cheeky bugger. <(

I shall do that myself. That site does seem to escape my mind.

Excuse this question from a newbie. Is there an equivalent frieight version of this or anywhere where scheduled times of freight services can be found?

Thanks in advance.

Try Freightmaster or Freightlocate , both of which are subscription. Can recommend Freightmaster as being as up to date as is possible with freight times, but cannot comment on Freightlocate as I have never used it.

The main problem with freight is that whilst there is a core of regular workings which can normally be relied on to run, there are always plenty of specials around which cannot always be predicted as they often run at very short notice.

Thanks very much for the quick reply.
