Sleeper coach services

I thought Megabus were the first to introduce this idea but just come across this article from 1928! on proposed coach sleeper service from Newcastle to London http://archive.commercialmotor.com/.../5/a-new-sleeper-coach-service-from-newcastle not sure if it ever happened.

In their publicity for the new services, Stagecoach did say that there were sleeper services in the 1920's.
