Never visited Oxford, so planning a day trip tentatively planned for June 22nd.I can achieve total ticket price (using off peak day returns) of £32.20 With Senior Railcard) as follows:

SLR - DBY £10.10
DBY - WOF/WOS £11.20
WOF/WOS - OXF £10.90

Total £32.90

Now this cost compares favourably with a Heart of England 3 in 7 day Rover (about £45 I think) but I have the added expense of getting from SLR to NOT where this Rover begins.

Any help in deciding what to do will be greatly appreciated.

PS: Any benefit in stopping off at the picturesque stations forming what is left of the OWW railway (Kingham line OXF - WOF

As far as the Cotswold line goes, Moreton-in-Marsh and Evesham are probably the better/picturesque stations on the route, Moreton still having semaphores I'm sure. Charlbury used to be very picturesque but since the re-doubling, the overbridge has spoilt it a bit. Combe has a certain something in that teh station shakes a lot when something goes past, but with 2 trains a day, not really worth the stop.
