Could any one supply the follow info
What was the railway station used to transport the service personal that had lost their lives at Slapton sands during the excercise in World War 2?
Thanks in advance.

Possibly more likely would have been via Kingswear, as it took longer main line trains, then by ferry and lorry. The Kingsbridge branch would have needed a reversal at Brent and was very steeply graded, although Montgomery did use it at the time of the invasion exercises.

Some sources say that the bodies were transported to Brookwood for burial by lorry, not by rail, you'll do very well to try and find any facts surrounding Exercise Tiger even now

It seems that those bodies collected from the sea were taken to Portland and processed by 605th QM Graves Registration Company and then moved to Brookwood, method unsure. Those bodies that reached land were buried in Devon in the first instance before transfer to Brookwood by 146th QM Truck Company, later all bodies were moved to the ABMC cemetery in Cambridge for repatriation at the wishes of the families
