Just been to see the latest Bond epic and I can thoroughly recommend it - fast paced and full of good action - less computer gizmos and more "hard stunts".

Daniel Craig seems to be growing into the role after a shaky start.

I suppose a 78 year old in her position does stretch the imagination somewhat, mind you the original "Q" would have given her a run for her money in the "age stakes"

Never mind that - in the Casino Scene in Macau Bond was chatting to the girl he ended up in the shower with, and she was the only one smoking in the whole establishment - dream on

When Bond was a "real man" he always smoked Turkish Cigarettes - mind you he also wore a "syrup" !!

Also I missed the "heineken moment"

Saw it on Sunday. I loved the film and now i suppose have to like Daniel Craig's Bond :P

Best modern Bond film since Goldeneye for me as well.

Some of the lines during the film were fantastic as well.

I liked the way they "jazzed up" The MGM Lion logo at the start !!

Also it was convenient how the tube train that crashed was "Out of Service" and had no passengers

Looking forward to watching Skyfall. It might inspire me to go through my box set and watch all the previous films in order again.

Watched it on opening night, loved the film, thought it was brilliant. The death at the end was a surprise, but a good one. The tube scenes were a little questionable though. I'm sure they used the disused platforms at Charing Cross for two stations and as you say, the crashed train was empty. Minor details though, good film.

I have been to the Cinema over 150 times in the last 22 months and Skyfall is in The Top Three Films I have seen in that time

Tough call as to how I rank the officail Bond's ....

Tie between Connery and Craig for me at the top, followed by ...

Pierce Brosnan. He wasn't helped by the scripts he was given.

Roger Moore is a very close 4th with Dalton 5th.

That's roughly the order I would put them in. Dalton wasn't helped by the fact that they were scraping the barrell for bits of stories at the time because they had run out of books. The Living Daylights started as a short story, taking up 20 minutes of film (originally set in Berlin rather than Prague). Licence to Kill was cobbled together from parts that never made it into other films, with a general plot put in to tie it all together. If he had been given a decent script to work with, who knows...

Based mainly on the closeness to the character in the books - and it is very close between the top three. I think Lazenby is the most underrated, and suffered from following the iconic Connery. Ah, Connery - better at first, but sowed the seeds of the camp monstrosity that was Moore.
As for Skyfall, I thought it was a very good film of its type, probably the best of the ones I have seen in the cinema (I cannot speak for the initial effect of the earlier ones that I have only seen on TV). Less soft porn and travelogue!
[I did wonder if all the references to "Mother" were a nod to "The Avengers" - the film was awash with back-references]

It definitely sounds like a James Bond tune to me however to me there's nothing special about it, to make it memorable like some other past Bond hits. Good song, but I find it a bit 'bland'.

It's barely come out in the cinema! I doubt it'll be (legally) released before Christmas.

Hahah! Me too I was there in the cinema like "That is not a District Line train!!!".

At least they were consistent with removing the Jubilee Line stickers!
