I believe it finishes on Saturday 6 September.

This Saturday's locos should be 47826 and 47851

Derek
Can someone pleas explain to me how those two locos can generate any excitement? virgin eh rubbish, surely even the newcomers had them as vxc locos cov-new st or similar? i really dont understand how 478xx can been deemed anything more than vaguely interesting even in such desperate times, how is 25xxx,31xxx or 37xxx on pres line of choice not more worthwhile timwe and money spent??

I only started this game about a year ago so I have hardly any experience of these locos plus how can we just say it's boring ect alot better than watching voyagers.

so true! I haven't ridden behind many locomotives on special capactity trains like these or on tour, and I'd rather have a spoon than a 156... just a shame they go to Skegness

when I find gen for this year's Lincoln christmas shuttles (also EMT) which should be 47s again, I plan to have a meet then. If not, they are starting to run HSTs to lincoln so maybe that instead :D

Nothings yet been mentioned about the Lincolns yet, however, next year skegness ive been told will be in the form of HSTs from London St Pancras - Nottingham - Skegness.

No idea if this is true or not !

Anyone for a 35mph stagger with a pair of dud duffs to Skeggy?? Ooh yes please, much more rateable than 37906 out at the SVR on the same weekend...

Get the rateable traction out...I heard today (literally) 37712 is rather loud!

Yay more spoons on seggy  Bring on other traction!

EMT safety case covers 47 and 57, the choice is yours....

Anyway i hear that there could be an appearence by 37712 on the Sheppeard Neame thingy tomorrow, or we could get bowled by 47245 again, phone call to potter in the morn it is 8)

This is true.

Spoooooooooon it is then!

they were supposed to be getting a crompton oor shoebox TnT with the 47, but of course it's EMT and WCRC... says it all  but you'd ahve to have someone in both locos, as 33s are blue star, and 47s are green circle (unless you did a 33/73 TnT as 73s are BS).

Yep but how you gonna wire em up to each other at opposite ends of the stock unless you have through wired stock which i doubt WCRC have.

Both locos wouldn't be powering though...

good point... they'd have to have ex Gatwick Express stock, which is a TSOH, TSO, TSOH coupled semi-permanent, with a 27-way jumper

How many times has it been said that EMTs safety case is 47/57 ONLY. So no chance of cromptons or syphons.
