Hi everyone, hope you're well. I wonder if you can help me, I've been so stressed about this incident. It was really stupid of me thinking it will save me some money by doing this. I regret it so much. Uni work is already putting me in a lot of pressure, this is just way too much for me...

So this is what happened, I've received a single justice procedure for using my sister's oyster card to get on the bus only (free), and used my own oyster card to get on all the other public transports. Because it's already making me feel really bad by using it, didn't want to use it on everything. When the staff caught me, I was in fear and lied about only used it once. Now I received this single justice procedure, it only mentioned about that one incident. But now I'm stressing about whether I should say I've used it before in the letter, as it explained it could cost me more if this case doesn't resolve in this single justice procedure. The fact I lied in the first place, I'm scared if it will get me into more trouble. Also would there be any chance of going to prison? I really don't know what to do. Please help.

Welcome to the forum.

It’s not exactly clear to me what you have been sent, and whether it’s an actual Single Justice Procedure Notice or a letter asking for your version of events before they decide how to proceed.

Can you post a copy of the letter in this thread, with personal details redacted.

Just to add - there is a zero chance of prison.

Thank you for reassuring me. It is a actual single justice procedure notice. Here's the charge sheet. Because I really want this to get over and done with, but are not sure what's the best to do.

Hi, it is a actual single justice procedure notice. (sorry I thought it was only one person replying to me) Here's the picture.

The picture does not seem to have attached. Can you try again?
