Hi,

I've installed simsig under wine on my laptop which is running linux mint 7. Trouble is, I cant get the wine font converter to work so I cant convert simsig.fon to simsig.pcf. Can anyone supply me with the converted font?

Thanks in advance!

Hi there,

I'm running CrunchBang Linux 8.10 (Ubuntu-based) and I found I was able to get Simsig to work with wine almost out of the box. If its issues with the font not displaying, double check that the simsig fonts are in the correct directory on the virtual C drive ( C:/windows/fonts ) - although from memory I also had issues afterwards with it failing to display, which I solved by installing the Swindon sim... don't ask me why it worked, but it did!

Hope this helps, :)

Interesting. I'll have to install Swindon and see what happens. I've been working long days all this week so haven't had a chance to try it, but will do very soon.

Thanks!

Hi,

Thanks for the responses. I've now installed Swindon. It appears perfectly, all text legible etc. Trouble is, it then crashes my machine totally! Oh well, next thing to solve... :)

I'll have to install lots of different ones and see if they all crash or if it's just Swindon. Not sure.

Yes, I have installed the system files BTW...

Cheers!
