And if it's a standard flash on a camera it'll probably make the photo look **** anyway as they're not powerful enough. A slower exposure, larger aperture and/or higher ISO is generally better in these situations.

Don't worry, people go a bit too mental over the flash. I personally think that the lights on new-style trains are more of a distraction and blinding than a camera flash!

Staff seem to let the flash rule relax on tours anyway, no need to have this massive go on this poor lad. Many times have I seen flash used on tours with staff standing with the group to keep an eye out.
