Hi guys,

Is it possible to create a player drivable path, and to tell a signel what to do? Example:

Departing from Stevenage up slow, waiting at knebworth station becouse the signall won't clear untill a HST (up fast) passed the junction.

Is this possible somehow with a patch or thing like that?

If I recall correctly, route both trains, but put a reversing point on the players path just before the signal you want them to be held ata. The player (in game) should roll back, which clears the route ahead. Add a second reversing point on the player path to allow the player to continue in the right direction.

As the player moves forward, the path is reserved, although the signal should remain Red as the game doesn't know who to give priority too.
When you reverse, it thinks your not going that way at all, so lets the AI train pass. Once thats gone, the signal will work as normal.

Yep that works, just put the first reverse point close infront of the second one & make sure it's within the signal section.

Believe me,waiting on an HST to clear is far more realistic!! Every day this week, got to Knebworth, away on time, then sit at Woolmer Green until NX pulls it lardy ass by!

Oh,thats for real by the way...the simulator must be very realistic!!

I know you musn't pass a red signal when driving a train, but with MSTS its annoying when you SPAD a signal, only for the game to end with the message "Activity ended - ignored red light"

Couldn't they have made it different, so if you was to SPAD a signal, the penalty brake would come on - a similar function to TPWS? Or if a signal was 'stuck' on red, you could get permission to pass it?

You can ask for permission to pass a red signal, by pressing TAB (atleast that's default), and a voice says Permission denied or permission granted.

If you are using the "bin" patch, you can place a series of wating points that will hold the signal at danger and there is no need for your train to "roll back".

Or you can download and invisable loco from UKTS and path that so it blocks your path but not the HST path. You would have to time it all correctly though.
