A signal problem between Surbiton and London Waterloo means mainline which run through Surbiton are currently unable to access London Waterloo
A signalling problem between Surbiton and London Waterloo is causing disruption to trains between these stations. Services are expected to be cancelled, delayed or suspended. Disruption is expected until the end of the day.
What South Western Railway are Doing About It:
The control centre has received reports from a signaller that a set of points has failed at Queenstown Road. A set of points is the part of the track that can move, allowing the train to change direction and head to the right section on the network.
As a result of this, Mainline trains that run through Surbiton are unable to access London Waterloo. These services will be heavily disrupted with many cancellations and we strongly advise that you check your journey before you travel.
Trains from Windsor, Reading, Shepperton and the Hounslow / Kingston loop lines are still able to run into London Waterloo, however, these may be subject to delays and cancellations.
Engineers have been informed and are en-route, where they will work to rectify the problem, and get the line back to normal working order.
This issue may cause services to be delayed, or revised at short notice until the end of service.
