I was wondering what the BP threshold is applied for a signaller medical? My doctor is adjusting my medication at the moment with slightly unpredictable results. I asked the medical company what the requirements and they said less than 180/100?! Surely that isn't correct?

Apologies if its somewhere obvious - I can't find it on NR site, RSSB etc...

You asked what medical company?

You will be applying for a Safety Critical role so the standards are, obviously, stringent. Safe BP is up to 140 / 90. If you cannot maintain that then you are unfit.

If your GP is adjusting medications than is all well and good BUT you will have to prove that you are stable over a period of time.

That was the quote from the OccHealth contractor to NR. Never mind safety critical - I know that's not good for anyone!

140/90 was what I expected to hear.
