I've got an interview for a grade 5 position and am currently a grade 3. The interview questions for the grade 3 were the Non Technical Skills questions but apparently the grade 5 interview questions are a lot different and are more rule book knowledge questions. Is this right? Can anyone offer any advice on what types of questions to expect?

The questions are the same, regardless of grade.

If you entered at your grade 3 off the street, you would have been asked entirely external questions. The interviewers actually have two sets of questions they can ask, internal and external.

They will still address each NTS in turn, but can choose, for each question, to frame it in a general context, or a signalling context. It's entirely down the discretion of the interviewer.

They may also ask additional questions about how you will handle the increase in traffic and complexity that follows a grade move.
