From the uktrains subreddit, there's an image of the Ratcliffe-on-Soar Power Station having its berth simply read "BYE*" when it was shut down for the last time, thus bringing an end to 142 years of British power generation via coal. Even today, it's still there with the message "SHUT" on Traksy.

Good riddance to coal, I say!

Any ideas about "TWIT"? Seen for a while during the small hours last night at Narborough. During the same timeframe, more typical BLOK and -LB- messages were active over a wider stretch of the (Leicester-Birmingham) line going in the opposite direction, but TWIT was the only message on the other line. There was a 6G34 lurking before Narborough at the same time, and I believe the TWIT message went away by the time 6G34 started moving and then moved on through, although I missed seeing the exact sequence of that on the live diagrams.

Perhaps a report of trespass, and a reminder to the signaller to caution trains through the section?

That’ll be a reminder about something going into fish dock sidings, which are at the Dore and Totley end of the station.

@GardenRail may be able to give chapter and verse about when these are used at Sheffield.

I didn't know the Inverness area even had this, I thought coverage ended at Perth!

That seems quite likely

Inverness was added at Christmas, which was a pleasant surprise. Parts of the line north from Perth and east to Aberdeen have been added over the last few years as they've been resignalled.

Hmm interesting. It's the shunt berths which have the indication on them, so I suspect it's an indication that the crossovers or the areas to be shunted into are out of use. Unfortunately one of the issues with compacting berths up to produce tighter maps is that you end up with odd situations like these.
