Hi all,

I've recently applied to the position of Shunter at Landore (still open until tomorrow if any other of us train loving taffs are looking for something).

Does anyone know what restrictions are on this? I'm 19 - so I know I'm too young to be a mainline driver, but my age wasn't asked for this, nor was it stipulated as on many other places that you needed to be 21 to drive. (I'm hoping that it's exclusivly within depot confineds, meaning being 19 is ok).

Also, what's First's recruitment process like? With regards to assesments, interviews etc?

And if anyone could give me some more infor about the role, or works at Landore and can let me know what's like down there, that would be much appriciated.

Thanks!

Keiran

The recruitment process with First Group is usually pretty useless. Plenty of waiting and little information.

So, I still haven't heard anything off FGW - mind you, who's surprised.

Applications only closed a week ago today, at what point would you think it would be reasonable to contact First's HR department to chase it up?

Thanks

Kieron, you don't want to come across as desperate, no matter how keen you are. I would give it 2-3 weeks first mate.
