There's a shunter at the Poplar depot but I can't make out what it is and I can't seem to find anything about it online.

Anyone have any info?

can find out more for you if you want later on?

If its the grey one then that is battery powered

Thanks, it's green. It is also named but I haven't been able to make out what it says on the name plate.

Looking at the Industrial Railway Society's '16EL', it lists DLR as having three shunters at Poplar/Beckton (presumably interchangeable):
994 'Kevin Kearney', a Diesel Hydraulic built by GEC Traction in 1979
93, a battery/third rail loco built by RFS in 1991
An un-numbered Wickham, presumably some form of trolley

If anyone is interested in Industrial Locos, the IRS book is something that is pretty invaluable - http://www.irsociety.co.uk/books/books.htm has more details.
