Shunter assessment day.

Hi all.
I’m an ex driver at Connex SE some 20 years ago, before rejoining the military. Now trying to get back into the industry and have an assessment day next week.
Any ideas what to expect? The company has not provided any practise / revision material.

If they have invited you to an assessment, they should supply some practice material or at least told you what to expect. Probably worth a call to recruitment as it seems strange you haven’t received anything.

If it's anything like my assessment there are usually three tests. One of to read a company policy booklet and make notes for 10 minutes then answer questions related to that article afterwards (without your notes). There was also a speed/accuracy test whereby you have to choose specific patterns on a load of rows of text, totally messes with your eyes after a while! Can't remember the last test (if there even was a third...) but you should have practice material.
