Hi,
Just curious to know what the shutter assessment will entail. Is it exactly the same as a Driver assessment. And with an MMI?!

Thanks in advance

Hi,

I recently attended one. I believe it’s exactly the same as the Trainee train driver assessment centre including the MMI at the end subject to you being successful during the assessment stage.

Group Bordon, TEA-Occ, fault finding, computer tests and TRP not in that order with the written communication and MMI last.

Any1 heard back from them yet about assments dates or if they have got through. And with the same assments as a train driver does that mean you will be able to drive futher then shunt limits out of service, like to other depots to swap trains?

Does this mean shunters are exempt from taking these tests or are they required to take them again for train driver roles? Thanks

If I understood this correctly I asked this at the time and they said Shunter drivers are exempt from taking the tests again. Another reason that might help is that these Shunter driver tests count as one of your two lives as one bloke at my assessment centre found out.
