The Virgin system is absolutely fine, assuming no idiot comes along and chucks your possessions out of the train at a station, but that must be extremely rare. Just leave a book or something on the seat. It's much better like this than the mess you get on XC, although their main problem is a simple lack of seats. Some of you lot are paranoid.
