I've been offered work by Cleshar Rail but there reputation isn't great. Has anyone had any experience with them. Induction is only two days where most
companies it's five. I've also seen online reports where workers do back to back
shifts with very little rest time. I was on the railway for 16 years and this could be my foot in the door to get back in but i'm really not sure if there the right company for me. Anyway cheers

The utr sort of rate which means more or less minimum wage. Have a look at RMT'S expose of contract companies rates of pay and conditions. UTR is unique
tax rate and is frankly unless you can commit to working under **** conditions no holiday pay or sick pay etc is best avoided. Like i said i was on the railway for years and it saddens me that people are getting the **** taken out of them cos they've no other choice. I started on the p-way in the mid 1980s where it was a work hard play hard culture but it was ****ing great. And i'm not getting all misty eyed but bloody hell what's happening now is upsetting for someone who went from trackman to ganger.
