Should all major stations have a pub?

My friends from Liverpool say the service at the North Western is appalling !

After the way I was treated in there last year by the downright bullying staff and the refusal of Wetherspoon to respond to my complaints, I now spend my money in pubs which welcome my custom rather than using that particular chain. Luckily, there are several good pubs within walking distance of Lime Street station.

Fair play mate. Bullying staff! None of them look old enough to be in a pub! That ain't good. Yeah, there are much better pubs within a few mins walk, Dr Duncans, The Ship & Mitre, The Excelsior and The Vernon (May be pushing it distance wise there).

Agreed, Dale Street is the best street in Liverpool for pubs IMO.

Yeah if you wander further down getting closer to Moorfields (The Vernon would really come in this category) you have The Lady Of Mann, Rigbys, The Lion, The Railway, Ma Boyles etc, some of those being off Dale Street (But not far) of course. :D All station pubs in my opinion.

I'm not aware of anyone mentioning the Station Inn at Ribblehead, although of course you could hardly call it a major station! It's not as nice as the Hill Inn down the road but it does at least serve you a decent pint of bitter.

Seen a few of a mates photos from there recently. Looks very pleasent. Not sure it would cause too many anti social behaviour issues. :D
