Me and my partner are heading down to London tomorrow and I am travelling a couple of routes I have not done (well in the daylight anyway!

Derby to Crewe - Never done this route, well for a good 15 years at least

and

Crewe to London Euston - Done this quite a few times on the Caledonian Sleeper, but never in daylight!

Will be hoping to take a few pictures and keep my eyes peeled for anything interesting. Anybody have any suggestions of things I should be looking out for, things of interest?

Thanks in advance, CSK.

You get a decent view of Wemberly Stadium.

Urm Watford Gap Services, Good views of Bakerloo trains on the right of the train south of Harrow and Wealdston.

Derby - Crewe isn't particularly interesting but a little bit scenic.

Northern WCML is scenic, but south of Preston there are many junctions taken at high speed that can be quite interesting.

Nothing to exciting to report, really enjoyed my first trip on a Pendolino.

Cross Country and EMT HST at Derby.
Busy 153 ride from Derby to Crewe.
Pendolinos, Voyagers, Arriva Trains Wales and London Midland units at Crewe.
Lovely first class Pendolino ride from Crewe to Euston. For those who wanted to know the menu, I picked one up on board and will update and the Pendolino first class thread.
Tube from Euston to Old Street, and return the following day.
EMT 'The Robin Hood' HST (No catering available due to staff shortage!) from St Pancras to Nottingham.
Northern 158 from Nottingham to Langley Mill.

Pretty good couple of days, like I said, didn't see to out of the ordinary but a better run than doing Nottingham to St Pancras and back.

For anyone that does visit the Shoreditch are of London, look up the Hoxton Hotel, very nice stay indeed.
