Short fare - TFL Nominee

I was caught on SWR doing a short fare from Clapham Jct to Vauxhall. I'm guessing it will take time for them to investigate fully?

My issue (and great deal of stress) is around the fact I also hold a staff nominee pass and I've been using that occasionally after having moved out of my mum's address (the staff member).

Do TFL and SWR communicate, and if so, how screwed am I? Should my mum go to her union rep asap?

Do they know you hold the nominee pass? Also was the nominee pass involved in your fare evasion?
I'm assuming since you've moved out of your mum's address you're no longer eligible? In that case it needs handing back in ASAP.

I would think op’s mum does need to have a confidential discussion with her union rep promptly.

You should assume that TfL and SWR communicate. You could end up having your travel priviliges withdrawn.

This would be a very good idea.

The pass wasn't involved in the fare evasion, but when the guy searched my details on the system and address my new address came up with my name. He also took my DOB so i'm guessing they can track it like that?

They just searched the electoral roll, or did a soft credit search. They aren’t likely to know about your nominee pass and it would make no difference if they did if you weren’t misusing it.
