My lad started a new job back up north last month an has been commuting from Liverpool to Birchwood by rail.

Tonight the 17:11 from Birchwood to Lime St. was cancelled, and the following service was delayed.

A large group of passengers in the waiting room were then ushered-out onto the platform as the staff locked-up the station and left them all to it!

Instead of arriving home at about 18:00, it was 19:15 when he got in!

He’s buying his first car next week, (he got a refund on his monthly rail pass tonight).

Another passenger lost.

If it's the end of the station staff's shift, what do you expect them to do?

Hope you and he realise how expensive running, and importantly maintaining, a car is.

Plus the capital cost. Doesn't the UK also suffer (like most countries) from bad traffic congestion?
