What a bunch of utter w**kers!!

Well I hope the train operating company saved a lot of money making there trains D.O.O then, may pay for a refit.

I've had youths smashing up a vestabule on a 158 I was driving, ripping the posters off the wall's & smashing the plastic trim parts. I stopped in the middle of nowhere & requested police attendance at the next station as my guard was female & rather small so i couldnt set her on them or ask her to back me up. I opened the drivers door so I could I.D. the people doing it, they all ignored what I was asking them & just pretended to be just standing there doing nothing. I was promised the Police would meet me at the next station, upon arrival there was no police & the youths got of there & ran. At least they didnt get to where they had bought a ticket to, that was 5 miles further on.

went down to netherfield station saturday morning: new shelter, new posters

come down Sunday morning: burnt smashed shelter with graffiti, billboards set alight. God knows what'd happen if there wasn't a signalbox there!!

As someone who takes part in a local "adopt a station" scheme and also does lots of graffiti removal in my street and local park, I find the best way to stop the taggers is to remove the graffiti as soon as you see it. For many, the ability to video or show to their mates their "work" is one of the whole points of it. Looking at linked videos on YouTube, it seems that news report is being used by the culprits to "show off" their work.

Definately Mojo, Northern seem very very keen to remove graffiti as soon as it appears, does seem to stop it reappearing!

Doesn't work on WYMetro 333s, the're vandal proof paint, except on the display boards, it washes off in the washer on a night on the windows, with a bit of effort on the body and never comes off the destination boards. But thats what you get for storing things in Nevvile Hill!
