With regards to pressing the door button, firstly there are platform edge doors in Japan so it’s more difficult but secondly the Japanese train would just depart.

On the Shinkansen platform edge doors are not common - the vast majority of platform train interfaces do not have them.

And on the Shinkansen there are no door buttons to stab at - all doors open and close under guard control.
