Sheringham Crossing Movements

Just wondering whats going on at Sheringham over the next few days, today there was supposed to be a train from Derby cross onto the NNR but was cancelled for an unknown reason, on Tuesday and Wednesday there is a train leaving the NNR but only going into platform 2 at Cromer when it returns to NNR later in the evening

The cancelled train from Derby looks like it been rescheduled as well

A long shot here - perhaps might it be the Flying Scotsman?

I heard last year that it seems to be doing a tour of preserved railways that have a physical connection to the main network.

I will check their website - either way, it will either confirm or eliminate that possibility.

EDIT: I have just checked the Flying Scotsman website, and apparently it is around London during the first half of June. According to the North Norfolk Railway website, there is a diesel gala this weekend coming.

Is the Wensum Curve the one that connects the lines from Ely and Diss to the line that runs to Sheringham/Great Yarmouth/Lowestoft at Crown Point depot?

Yes it is.

Yes that's the one. Was originally known as the Wensum Curve when a double track absolute block signalled route between Trowse Swing Bridge Junction & Wensum Junction signal boxes. Now merely a through siding operated by Colchester Power Box & Crown Point Panel. It no longer is signalled to normal passenger standards.
