This will cheer those on here thaat drive trains through Shepreth branch Junction (just south of Cambridge)- there is a planning application in to replace the foot crossing with a bridge.
Whilst a direct link is impossible (due to the trpical terrible local council website) if you search for S/2060/13/FL on the South Cambs District Council planning site you'll find the details.
Closing this foot crossing (and Network Rail are negotiating to close the private farm vehicle access across here as well) will presumably allow the lifting of the TSR through the junction.
Installing the bridge will require a suspension of FCC, Greater Anglia and XC services south of Cambridge. Previously, when installing the road and guided bus bridges,, this meant bus replacement from Cambridge to Audley End, Stansted and Royston.
