Some good pics there Jon.

Being a local, I'd like to add something. We've not just had 466s on the line, there was a time from October 09 til March this year where we had 465/2s as the main traction on the line as well as pairs of 466s due to a power supply problem at Queenborough. Not sure if you want/need to mention it, but I thought I would.

It must've been you I saw on that footbridge where you first captured the pair. Infact, I almost went to it, but I decided to try the Brielle Way bridge shot instead. Although seeing as I kind of mucked my shots up, I wish I hadn't now.

Also, I didn't realise a shot from the sunny side was possible at the footbridge, so it's nice to know it is for future reference. Were they making much noise?

Hi Craig - I have to say they were moving quite slowly probably as the stopper towards Sittingbourne had just passed.

Either way looks like it's the same pair running down the MML tomorrow for a return Friday/Saturday?

Ah right, thanks for that. I did notice on Saturday that the 37s weren't far behind the unit. Trying to work out a location where they would be making a bit of noise and in decent phottable conditions too. Must try and get it three times too like you did. Didn't think it would be possible to get it at Swale and somewhere like Newington.

Going by the latest info on the gen groups, it will indeed be 37510/667 and they'll do 6Z90 to Sheerness tomorrow, then work a 6Z71 to Welywn late Wed/early Thurs. Then onto Hitchin as 6Z73 in the early afternoon on Thursday and then back to Sheerness with an arrival there in the early hours of Friday morning. Finally, they'll work 6Z70 Sheerness - Tyne Dock on Friday, so hopefully another circa 10am (or a tad later!) departure.

Ta TU on SE Gen for that!

Thanks for the info about Friday i've got a half day which would tie in well with that just need to find out what way they will return (ECML/WCML)

A few shots from today of another daylight empty scrap from Sheerness featuring 37667 and 37510. I caught the pair running l/e from one area of the steelworks to the departure road, then leaving Sheerness at a footbridge and then at Seymour Road, near Newington/Rainham:

Like you Jon, I was quite lucky with getting it again. The pair didn't get held at Queenborough due to late running and were crossing the Kingsferry Bridge as I was going above on the 'new' road bridge. Good job I didn't want to phot it there! I arrived at a bridge near Rainham just as the 37s were rounding the bend!

AFAIK it is not run on a daily basis, I think it is run as and when it is needed, it could be a weekly run, not too sure.
