Sheffield - Walsall Season Ticket

I will more than likely be travelling from Sheffield to Walsall for at least 2 days a week from October so I have been looking at options for splitting season tickets.

I already know the split prices (comes to £35.90 return instead of 41.90 Advance Single) for a 1 off journey, but I was looking at purchasing a monthly ticket as on some weeks I may have to attend 3 times in 1 week.

I've tried the usual splits from Chesterfield, Derby and Burton on Trent but I am wondering if you guys know of others.

Assuming you're travelling before 9am otherwise the use of a Derbyshire wayfarer would make it cheaper than that?

Unfortunately just before (at the moment 8:54 depart from Sheffield), however would this work:

Single Sheffield to Chesterfield (train arrives Chesterfield at 9:01)
Derbyshire Wayfarer to Burton on Trent
Burton on Trent to Walsall.

Clearly I should be able to get cheap singles, even if not the fare is only £5.10
