Sheffield to East Malling

I might be in the next few weeks going to East Malling for a few days (how the locals down there will cope with me is anyone's guess).

Anyway I have used all the usual split ticketing websites and it can't find any splits at all.

As it will be a spur of the moment thing advances are no good for me but I will be avoiding London at the usual peak times.

Anyone know of any tips even if it's buying PTE tickets to try and bring the price down?

If you aren't in a hurry you can try a LM/XC Only ticket to London.

I used a SUPER OFFPEAK RETURN SHEFFIELD - LONDON TERMINALS Route LM & XC ONLY last month. It costs £44 (Railcard £29.05). It has no time restrictions on Sundays, but Mon-Sat it's not valid for arrival in Euston before 1300 and not valid for London Midland services timed to depart the origin on the ticket 1630-1930 (with two exceptions).
