Sheffield PlusBus after midnight

Hi there,
Can anybody please advise?
En route to Sheffield today, returning tomorrow.
Going to buy a PlusBus ticket for each day.
Am attending Pulp concert tonight but staying a fair way away across the other side of the city.
PlusBus site states:

Excluded Services (of participating operators):​

Services departing after mid-night (2400hrs and up to 0501hrs); route 101 and schools services ('S' prefixed).

Does this mean just services departing from their origin after midnight or also after midnight when you board?
Also, could I therefore use tomorrow's ticket after midnight tonight instead or would neither be valid?

It's not the best worded restriction, but I would assume it's intended to mean "PlusBus not valid when boarding between 0000-0500 inclusive"

One of my two options (the later) has a tram, then a bus departing at 00.00!

There are a couple - Stagecoach runs half hourly on the 52 from Hillsborough to Woodhouse all the way til 23:54 - giving a post-Midnight departure from town.

There's also a 120 up to Broomhill and Ranmoor that picks up along West Street circa midnight. I've caught both last buses many a time - though the 120 is usually most popular.

I'm a little bit apprehensive as there are only a few trams after 23.00 away from the Arena (and I don't think it'll finish too early IMHO) and I'm concerned I won't get on, (there are only two that connect with a bus for me).
I have to get either into town and then the 52, staying in student accommodation in Endcliffe.
Interestingly, the bus connection (00.00 according to Google) says 23.59 on the stop!

Update FWIW.
I caught the eye of Stagecoach member of staff at a tram stop and he said PlusBus was fine until end of service (and they put on extra trams).

The last 52 looks to be earlier than the last 120, so I'd get the 120 if I was you. That goes right by Endcliffe.

The 52 turns right at Broomhill leaving you with a 15-20 min walk. Granted, it's a pretty safe walk and it'll be fairly quiet seeing as it's the summer break.
