That reminds me of Ardwick in Manchester which is in a sort of similar scenario to that one

Surely we're not all forgetting Accrington! Flipping heck that is nassssssty on a 142! Not amazing on a 158 either mind. Most of the obvious ones have already been mentioned like Lewisham, Bristol Temple Meads and Shipley. I'm positive there's at least one other one I've been to we've not mentioned, but for love nor money I can't think what it is. It's gonna drive me mad all day long now, although assuming I remember what it is after I get up at least I've something for the memory banks to remember on the long commute and when I'm bored at work!

Could swear it was in Wales, or at the least on part of my old stomping grounds. Bath Spa deserves a mention for being on moderate curves though, indeed you can't see the front two vehicles easily (if at all) from the back of an HST on the London-bound platform.

I think Dorchester South must have one of the tightest platform curves. It turns through 90 degrees in quite a short distance and has continuous check rails on both platform lines. If I recall correctly check rails are use on curves of less than about 8 chains radius. There is certainly a huge horizontal gap between train and platform edge at some train door locations - it can be quite unnerving for some folks.

bristol temple meads also especially when you get on the train there is sometimes quite a gap

Saltash is on quite a curve and feels sharper than it really is due, I guess, to its exposed position.
But its not as tight as the northern bays at Inverness or Shipley.

The curve into the south western approach to Newcastle are comparable but the radius increases on the actual platforms.

Rutherglen in Glasgow is rather sharp, especially platform 2

Birkenhead central at the Liverpool end, the platforms are check railed throughout but I highly doubt they are less than 200 meters radius for their whole length!

Does narrow gauge count? If so Porthmadog harbour is bloody tight, and about to get tighter!

Another vote for earlestown too, but on the Liverpool/Warrington side of the triangle

Marks Tey platform 3 is very sharp.

If narrow gauge railways are included in this thread then Woody Bay (Ruislip Lido Railway) probably wins.

Both gone now, but Seven Sisters Palce Gates branch, and the Hotel Curve P16 at Kings Cross and it was on a stonking gradient

Calstock on the Gunnislake branch for me. The curve is so tight that the line has a speed limit of just 10mph, and is particularly noticable given that it is immediately next to the dead straight viaduct.

It's even worse standing on the platform and being subjected to it. 158 don't make as big a racket about it though, they make even less racket when the door interlocking on one side decides not to play ball for 15 minutes, as happened to me on Sunday.
