Sharpest curve station.

The other day I was at Carnforth Station and I noticed how sharp the curve was on the platforms. I am told that a station in Australia has the sharpest in the world but I was wondering what the sharpest in this country was.

Platforms 3 / 4 at Lewisham are very sharp if I remember correctly, but there's a good few about.

Platforms 3 and 4 at Bristol are very curvy! My friend got on a Voyager at platform 4 and sat on the opposite side of the train (i.e. furthest side off the platform) in the window and I went over to platform 3 and was able to see them clearly on the train (for those who know Temple Mead's layout, they'll know what I mean).

Virginia Water also to some extent too.

At the station you could stand on the small section of floor between platform edge and the side of the carriage when the train is in the platform. the gap there is huuuuge!

3 is worse than 4 for the gap imo. Seeing a blind man trying to get off the train at Platform 4 right by the biggest gap was interesting.

Farringdon seems to snake back & forth. And on the extended part of the platform (out of shot in the distance), you pretty much have to leap from the train, due to the large gap and big step down from the train to the platform - especially as the train seems to lean away from the platform due to the curve.

Platform 5 of Shipley is pretty curved, not as much as others though, I think! My input was going to be Bank on the Central Line, that is extremely curved, but someone beat me to it

Shipley and Carnforth are quite bad to go through on a Class 144 pacer you can hear the wheels grinding quite bad.

Speaking of the tube, the through Met platforms at Baker St are pretty curvy.

Northbound Bakerloo line platform at Waterloo has a very sharp curve - only the doors at the ends of the coach are anywhere near the platform!

Tywyn bound platform at Dyfi Junction is fairly sharp.

Shipley 5 is very tight at the extremities-also worth remembering that there used to be a platform 6, now lifted, that was even tighter than the current platform five.

Quick rule of thumb.
If there is a check rail throughout as in Shipley then it is tight i.e. under 200m radius.
No check rail then don't bother with it.
