Does anyone know of any locations where bus and train drivers share messroom facilities ?

Purley! Bus drivers from metrobus route 127 (Purley - Tooting Broadway) share the messroom on platform 6 with southern drivers.

Both Southern and Metrobus are Go Ahead companies.

I know a driver who sneaks into the bus drivers mess room at Aberdeen because they do subsidised meals. He also partakes in death row shopping i.e. waiting for all the marked down goodies in the last few minutes of trading. It fair broke his heart when Christie's 99p store closed on Union Street.

There was a bus drivers messroom a while ago on Haslemere station but I don't know if it's still there

Arriva bus drivers have a toilet and messroom at Sidcup station although I don't know if it is shared with railway staff?

Doesn't surprise me: Never worked in rail but when I did 1st-line IT support, it just so happened that all our third-party engineers always arrived just before lunchtime; I'm sure it was purely coincidental that our dining room was somewhere you could get a main meal + chips/potatoes + salad/veg + juice for £1.20.

I believe that non-staff were meant to pay double the menu price, but I chose not to highlight that to the catering guys as I liked getting 24-hour turnaround on a 72-hour contact :)

I don't know how long ago that was, but even £2.40 seems a good deal for that lot these days. I went out to Lincoln with my Mum today to buy some clothes for uni, and the jacket potato and a cup of tea we had at M and S cost £6. I think it was something like £2.75 for the potato and salad, and £1.50 for the cheese! It was nice though :)

True, but I couldn't believe how much they charge for a bit of grated cheese. We should have just got a jacket potato and bought some cheese from elsewhere and a grater.

Put a potato in a class 70 after comparing route timings to reach it at the right point - the newer ones have a rack for them over the generator.
