There have been various examples over the years of, where several TOCs have the same franchise owner/open access owner, them sharing a single control room. What has happened where one of the franchises has moved elsewhere? Has the location of the control room for that TOC changed? If so, did it happen overnight at the franchise change date, or on a phased basis later?

Particularly in recent years, the DfT has been very strict about TOCs doing things like this - there will have had to be a contractual arrangement, and fair payment to the TOC for the services provided. As I understand it, in the example of TPE and Lumo, the contract for the services was just amended for the change in ownership but otherwise transferred over.
And has since been extended for a further 1 year extension. Which should take Lumo up until December 25 to decide whether ro extend or form there own control function.
