Yeah had a trip across the Bentham Line to cover a new bit of track.

Theres not a lot around HLD though, had a walk down to the main road looking for a shop for a drink, but mission unsuccessful.

Yep - not much going on in Hellifield. Wasn't the cafe on the station open? There are two shops but both some distance from the station. If you ever find yourself that way again there's a couple of decent pubs in Long Preston, and cafes, shops and yet more pubs in Gargrave

No, was late in the afternoon and the café was closed. Will deffo try Long Preston next time

Blackpool: 0/37 (that number is to change most significantly by 192 hours' time )
Edinburgh: 15/16 (just waiting on Edinburgh Gateway now)

Metrolink: 51/91 (yes it is planned to absolutely smash my way through the list of requirements by the end of the year. Stay tuned...)
Midland Metro: 23/23
NET: 23/23 (until the new lines open soon, and yes that is planned to be dealt with before the end of the year too. An epic trip is in the works, details to be announced in October )

The epic trip hinted above is very much in the planning stages, once I come back from Ireland in September I will have it all worked out. It might not be until December, but it is more likely to be November. All will depend on the work situation and holiday time!

I had hoped to do it in the end of September (staying overnight in Sunderland and doing a certain station on the Sunday), however the prices of advance fares for that weekend were quite high. A job for summer when there is no football on I reckon.
