My new job means I’ll be in Newcastle regularly. So I’m going to tick off the small ECML stations with limited services one per visit. Today was Chathill.

Morpeth-Newcastle was my first Lumo journey. But given the Hitachification of the network, it didn’t feel any different to being on a busy Azuma.

At a guess, I’d say it means a continuous line of stations they’ve been to. So all stations between X and Y, if that makes sense.

For me I’d word it as all stations between (for example) Manchester Piccadilly and Milford Haven via both routes. Which, for clarity, is both via Cardiff and Llandrindod, although it also covers both via Styal and Stockport as well as via Warrington Bank Quay. So not my best example :lol:

I was as well but since watching Geoff Marshall do it a few years back since when Bradford FS has been added I did wonder but it is, a few tight connections mind. I'll do an update on my own The Mercian Meanderings thread later on.

Wasn't expecting to score the station today, but with the issues at Stratford I headed to Norwich via Cambridge and decided to visit the station at South for a likely same platform change rather than a large hike at Cambridge Central

That's what I get for trying to plan another day whilst on the train and left only looking at the clock. Thankfully I did the canal towpath like I did the last time I went to New Lane! Next time I'll be doing it when I finish the Wigan-Headbolt branch with a tactical bus move.
